“New Vision for 09” is our theme for the 2009 Capitular Year. As Royal Arch Masons, it is our responsibility and obligation to do everything within our power to see that the chapters in our jurisdiction are viable chapters, ones that have officers to fill the stations, that can open and close chapters, do the degree work, and have secretaries and treasurers who will fulfill the duties of their offices so as not to embarrass the chapter or Grand Chapter. My companions, if we do not put responsible men in the various stations in our chapters that will fulfill their obligations, our chapters will continue to be unable to and will eventually close. | |

Most Excellent Paul Newhall is in the hospital and unfortunately is completely without vision at this time. He was operated on yesterday and it will be some time before we know his vision staus. Please keep Paul and his family in your prayers.

Death of ME Eugene Wiggins

It is with a great deal of sadness that I have to announce the death of Most Excellent Eugene Wiggins. Companion Gene passed away late on June 29th. Please keep Gene's family in your prayers.
There will be an Eastern Star Service at 7 PM, Thursday, July 2nd, at the Peninsula Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd, Newport News. Visitation will be 7 PM to 8 PM. Graveside Service and Masonic Tribute will be on July 3rd at 2PM at Park Lawn Cemetary, 2551 North Armistead Ave., Hampton, VA.
We have received permission from the Grand Master to wear red coats and Royal Arch Aprons & Jewels to the service on Friday.

Companions: ME Clyde Rodgers went to the Lord on June 23 at 5:00 PM. We will miss him dearly. Services were held on June 25.
